This model Raven Institutional Pedent is designed for use in areas such as correctional, deterntion, and mental health care facilities, as well as other commercial buildings.
The Raven is assembled in such a way that it is extremely difficult to tamper with the sprinkler thus causing a false activation. The tamper resistant nature of this type of sprinkler aids in reducing the opportunity for individuals to injure themselves or others with components of a fire sprinkler. In addition, this sprinkler model has an appealing flush design whcih conceals all of the operating parts.
These sprinklers must be installed in accordance with the appropriate flow rate criteria provided in the technical data page (TFP 651). They must also be installed and utilized in light hazard occupancies, under smooth, flat, horizontal ceilings.
IMPORTANT Always refer to Technical Data Sheet TFP700 for the INSTALLER WARNING that provides cautions with respect to handling and installation of sprinkler systems and components. Improper handling and installation can permanently damage a sprinkler system or its components and cause the sprinkler to fail to operate in a fire situation or cause it to operate prematurely.
